Arkhé Cosmetics Woman Beauty award for sustainable hair care line
Arkhé Cosmetics has won the Sustainable Hair Line Award at the second edition of the awards Woman Beauty organized by the magazine Woman Madane Fígaro, of Prensa Ibérica.
The jury awarded the prize to Arkhé Cosmetics for being a sustainable hair line with formulas that are up to 96% natural. manufactured with renewable energy at the Barcelona plant, avoiding the emission of 167 tons of CO2 per year. Arkhé prioritizes the use of sustainable ingredientsfrom local supply sources. For example, the seaweed CHLORELLA VULGARIS which has been extracted from the lake of Banyoles in Girona.
In addition, this premium brand of hairdressing products from VMV Cosmetic Group produces its packaging with post-consumer recycled plastic. An innovative enzymatic active ingredient that accelerates the biodegradation of plastic waste has been incorporated into its composition.
Another one of Arkhé's sustainability actions is its collaboration with the Foundation for the Recovery of Marine Animals (CRAM)The first of its kind to be created in the Mediterranean.
The award was collected by VMV Cosmetic Group's R&D&I and Operations General Manager, Ramón Martínez Ribes, who highlighted the five years of research work carried out by the company's R&D&I laboratory to bring this exclusive hair treatment line to the market. âThere have been more than 5 years of research, in collaboration with two Spanish universities where we have managed to transfer the latest advances in medicine to hair care with a unique patented system, which encapsulates the active ingredients to release them in the areas where they are most neededâ, assured Martínez Ribes.

In this edition of the beauty awards, Woman magazine wanted to highlight the most innovative and highest quality cosmetics of the year in each of its typologies. The event, which was hosted by the model Laura Sánchez, had a total of 26 categories covering different areas of the beauty universe, from perfumery to facial and body care, without forgetting, of course, hair care and sun protection. This second edition of the Woman Beauty Awards took place in a spectacular hall of the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid.
